A SMAS facelift tightens the superficial layer (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) for moderate aging, whilea deep plane facelift goes under the SMAS, lifting deeper structures (muscles, fat) for more comprehensive, natural, andlonger–lasting results, especially for significant sagging and deep folds, making it better for moderate to severe aging compared to SMAS’s mild-to-moderate focus, but requiring more skill and potentially longer recovery.
 
SMAS Facelift
